Ish is Getting Real

I am so sorry I have been completely MIA of late.  I told you years ago that I would be back with a vengeance because of some exciting news.  Well yeh, the back part didn’t pan out but I do have excellent news.  I have a wonderful four-month old.

Come on kids, did you really think Miss Heather was ready for a child.  I pity the fool.  (Though I have gained the weight that a child requires SMH)  I am new to a job that I absolutely love, but that also keeps me extremely busy and hopping around the country (and hopefully the world).  Wonderful for my wanderlust.  Not so wow for my weight loss efforts and marathon training.

Yes, I said Marathon Training.  This bad boy was delivered into my inbox today as a cruel reminder that I am slated to run the TCS NYC Marathon in early November.  At the instant moment, I am less than excited elated at the opportunity to test my mettle and accomplish this goal.  Admittedly, I am nowhere near the shape I need to be, nor near where I was this time last year, but I am making my way back with a training and eating plan.  The latter is also helping me into a bridesmaids dress I have to wear in a month.

So that’s some of what’s news with your girl.  I’ve done so much much traveling lately and I can’t wait to update you.  I am in love.  That’s always nice.  Parents are well.  Apartment is fine.  NYC is life.
